Day of Annoyance that wasn’t an annoying day

This morning I decided that I was going to get all my annoying tasks out-of-the-way in the first part of the day..

The idea was that if I got those things done, I wouldn’t be wondering when I had to get them done today I wouldn’t be dreading them for as long I don’t even be dreading them for a short period of time.

And damn it the plan worked.

Why, damn it?

Because I hate the idea that I have to front load my annoying ass, and I have to face them first I kind of wanted them to be just as hard to do them as they are at other times in the day, which is foolish because the key thing is that these annoying tasks need to get done and I can spend more of my day feeling better.

But this is also something irksome about the fact that these tricks work.

So I may have to start having regular days of annoyance, because this one turned out to be not all that annoying even though the task themselves were.

Found my other Xmas dress!

It turns out that it was in the ‘somewhere safe’ box that I thought it was in but I couldn’t find it in here because it was inside out.

I feel a bit foolish for not realizing that the white folded thing was my inside-out dress but, hey, at least I found it before Xmas!

Victory is mine.

Not a Christmas Spider

My sister makes cute beaded Christmas spiders – tree decorations- as gifts.

They came to mind yesterday as I walked out into the unusually warm weather (10 degrees Celsius) and happened upon this guy hanging by a web-thread from my mailbox.

He was spinning in the wind so I moved him to the porch railing.

Poor thing must be quite confused, this is supposed to be a rest time for spiders.

So this is a spider at Christmas time but it’s not a Christmas spider.

Beware of ‘Somewhere Safe’

I have two fun Christmas-themed dresses.

I wore one to a party last night and planned to wear the other to a party this evening.

Alas, it appears that my second dress has been put ‘somewhere safe.’

You know what that means, right?

Yep!

It could be anywhere at this point.

A good day!

Even though I didn’t have my ADHD meds today, I managed to schedule and complete a bunch of stuff without getting overwhelmed and without feeling rushed.

I love this feeling.

And, to be clear, this good feeling isn’t about getting stuff done, it’s about making a plan that worked. It’s about judging how long things would take and being right about it.

Yay!
