Plagued by migraines

Damn was last week annoying.

I had two separate migraines. One on Tuesday night and another that started haunting me on Wednesday and didn’t ease until late Saturday evening.

When I woke up this morning and my mind was clear and I could easily move again and it was like a revelation.

“Oh, THAT’S why I had so much trouble doing stuff the last few days. My migraine made it harder!”

I mean, I knew all along that I was struggling because of the migraine and I was taking things as easily as possible but I didn’t realize how much harder it had been until it wasn’t as hard any more.

There’s a metaphor for ADHD in there, for sure, but I’m not digging it out today.

Friday Afternoon

Enjoying a pretend beer on a real sunny day with my real dog on my real patio.

Making oracle stones

I’m experimenting with different colours for oracle stones but I can’t decide which I like best.

I like the contrast of the white but the muted brown and black has its appeal.

Practicing Prioritization

Do I end up practising the same things over and over again and only making marginal improvements?

It’s possible.

But rather than being hurt on myself about it, just gonna keep trying and adjusting, and seeing what happens.

This week I’m practising prioritization.

Because I’ve realized that I often fall into the trap of just working for however many hours I’ve got.

And that makes it really hard to know when I’m done or if I’ve done enough or even if I’ve been working on the right things.

So I am going to try this week to set a certain number of priorities each day and when those are done, those tasks are done. I’m gonna be done for the day.

I already feel resistance to this idea so that makes me wonder if it’s even more important than I realize.
