Long weekend!

I have not been entirely successful with my vacation plans.

Various tasks have been popping onto my radar and leaving them until next week will mean starting them too late.

But I have been doing pretty good with keeping a slower pace AND with keeping those tasks in a metaphorical container so they don’t take up too much time.

And now it’s the long weekend and I will definitely be making this very, very vacation-y.

Pop-up tasks be damned.

Playing with my paint

I really love the way that paint looks agains a dark background so I was experimenting this morning.

I am happy with what I created but also glad to notice room for improvement.

I need to remember to turn my paper to create an even distribution of some elements of my drawing.

My vacation book

I’m looking forward to sinking into this but I also don’t want to start because you can only read something for the first time once.

Unfocused but creative

My brain is refusing to be wrangled today so I decided that instead of fighting with myself, I would just draw.
