This made me laugh

I bought a new mug because it cracked me up.

A photo of a white mug with a black circle on the side. The circle features text that reads ‘Well, aren’t you just a little ray of pitch black.’

Again with the dogberries

I know I’ve mentioned how much I like dogberries.

My camera has all kinds of photos like these:

A close up photo of bright red dogberries on a bare branch. There is grass below and in the background and a white SUV in the far background.
A photo of multiple bunches of bright red dogberries on mostly bare branches with a few yellowed leaves here and there.
A very close-up photo of bright red dogberries on the end of a bare branch just a little bit above some grass.

Starting my day with writing

I enjoyed my evening of writing so much that I decided to start the day with some more writing.

My day felt really grounded today and I wonder if starting my work day with writing contributed to that.

I’m going to experiment with it a bit more and see. 🙂

An evening of writing

I always forget how long it takes me to really dive into my writing.

Sure, I can knock off something light or something with a narrow scope pretty quickly but if it is important, complex, or if the details need to be worked out through the writing process, I need to give it more time.

But I think the thought that it will require more time or more concentration is one of the things that keeps me from diving in.

I know my brain considers ‘needs concentration’ as an obstacle.

So, how can I remove that obstacle and spend more enjoyable time writing?
