I like fancy drinks.

Today I had a non-alcoholic drink called a Nick of Thyme.

Apparently it is made with ginger beer, lemonade, and thyme.

It was magnificent and special and fun.

It was an excellent choice.

I love picking up where I left off

Tonight we met with some friends we haven’t seen in at least 8 years and it was just like we had seen them yesterday.

I love when friendships are like that, just paused for when you can pick them up again.

I know that some people experience friendship degradation – friendships that deteriorate over time – but for me, unless we weren’t getting along on the first place, my friendships are just waiting for the time we can restart them.

These tiny flowers make me happy

I’m not sure what they are.

They might even been strawberry plants.

I just think they are swell.

Idea Generation

So I have been telling people for ages that I love brainstorming and that’s true but I think the part of brainstorming that I really crave is the idea generation.

Especially if things are pretty open-ended, just a few parameters than you can jump off from and go madly off in all directions.

I like seeing how things fit together in new ways, seeing how old things can be used differently, how thanks can be multipurpose.

Brainstorming a solution for a specific thing is fun but letting ideas gallop is the most exciting part.

I can always get back to reality later, I don’t stay in that fantasy space.

I sure like to visit though.
